Sound Healing

Sound Healing &
Sound Baths

Everything is energy. Our bodies, thoughts, emotions, and even our cells exist in a constant state of vibration. Sound is one of the most direct ways we experience this, through frequency, rhythm, and resonance.

When we are exposed to gentle and healing sounds the body often responds instinctively. Breath slows, muscles soften, and the nervous system begins to settle. This is why sound has been used for thousands of years in spiritual practices, ritual, meditation, and healing traditions, such as drums and chanting.

Sound healing works with this natural response. Carefully chosen tones and rhythms help guide the body out of stress and into a calmer, more balanced state.

Modern Science

This understanding of sound is not only spiritual — it is also scientific. Sound waves and vibration are widely used in modern medicine and therapy. Technologies such as ultrasound imaging use sound waves to look inside the body, and High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) is used in hospitals to precisely heat and destroy certain cancer cells, including prostate cancer, without surgery. These medical applications are very different from sound healing sessions, but they demonstrate how powerful and measurable sound and vibration can be when applied with intention and precision.

In therapeutic settings, gentle sound is used to support relaxation, focus, and nervous system regulation. As the nervous system settles, the body can move out of fight-or-flight and into a state of rest, repair, and balance. This is where sound healing does its work by creating the conditions in which the body and mind can naturally regulate themselves.

A Completely Unique Sound Healing Experience

After recently completing my sound healing training, I had a very clear and exciting realisation... sound doesn’t just need to be heard, it can be entered.

Rather than offering a traditional sound bath alone, I’ve created a unique sound healing experience that is accessed through the mind as much as the body. Each session uses hypnosis to gently guide you into a deeply relaxed, hypnotic state, where you are then invited into my inner sound space — a calming, immersive environment that exists beyond the physical room.

In these sessions, sound healing doesn’t just happen around you and your physical body, it happens within your awareness too. Hypnosis is used softly and safely to guide the mind into a receptive, relaxed state, allowing the sounds to feel deeper, more vivid, and more enveloping. Many people describe the experience as dream-like, timeless, or as if they’ve stepped into a private inner sanctuary.

This inner sound space can only be accessed through guided relaxation and hypnosis, however you remain fully aware and in control throughout, simply supported into a state where sound, imagination, and nervous system regulation work together naturally.

The result is an experience that feels deeply immersive and unlike anything most people have tried before, not just listening to sound, but journeying with it. I use a combination of Tibetan signing bowls, rain sticks, drums and angel tuning forks in a space that is cleansed and clear ready for the healing to begin.

Each session unfolds intuitively, responding to the group or individual, making every experience slightly different and completely unique.

Come and step into my treatment room, and let me take you on a journey to my inner sound healing space, my beautiful sound sanctuary created with love, positivity and healing intention.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is happens in a sound healing session?

For group sound bath hypnosis sessions you are politely asked to bring a yoga mat, blanket and pillow. When you arrive to the room/hall, you may find a space and get comfortable ready to begin.

The session begins with a gentle hypnosis journey to help you relax, before being taken on a journey to my inner sound healing temple that can only be accessed through your subconscious. Once we have arrived, this is then followed by layers of sound using instruments such as singing bowls, tongue drum, tuning forks, and ambient sound.

You don’t need to do anything just simply rest and allow the sounds to unfold. Once being brought back to the physical room, light refreshments are offered to help with grounding before your journey home.

For 1-2-1 sessions these are carried out in a private healing room in Whipton, Exeter. You are invited to lay down on the bed and get comfortable. Angel tuning forks are used to scan the body for any blockages, paying particular attention to the Chakras. You will then be guided by my voice into hypnosis as I take you on a journey to my inner sound healing temple, and once there, I begin to use a range of instruments in layers of ambient sound. The session is brought to a close with grounding techniques and light refreshments before your journey home.

Will I lose control during the sessions?

No. You remain fully aware and in control during any session. Hypnosis and mediation is guiding you inward, not taking over your mind. If you feel overwhelmed at any time you may open your eyes - you are fully in control.

What does a session feel like?
Most people describe it as feeling deeply relaxed, like a guided meditation. You may feel peaceful, floaty, or simply very calm and focused. Each experience is individualised, and what you experience and how deep you go is all down to you and where you would like to take it during the session.

How many sessions will I need?
Everyone's journey is different. Some people feel a significant shift after just one or two sessions, while others may benefit from on going support depending on their goals. For group sessions most people like to attend these monthly.

What should I do to prepare for my session?
Just come as you are. It can help to wear comfortable clothing, but this is not a necessity, it's far more important to just bring an open mind. I will guide you through everything else in supportive, calming environment.

Will it definitely work on me?
In short - If you want it to work...yes! And if you don't...then it won't!

Being sceptical for some people is normal, but your openness, trust and readiness for change play a big role in how effective the process can be.

If you don't try it at least once, you'll never know.
